My friend Carol in Alaska gave me this recipe many years ago. We would often eat Moose burger tacos on these shells.
I am making these shells tonight and we will have beef fajitas for supper.
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 heaping tsp. salt
1/4 cup oil (lard or butter)
1 cup water
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 heaping tsp. salt
1/4 cup oil (lard or butter)
1 cup water
Tip: Substitute milk for water and use butter for the oil and the shells will be softer, more pliable, and not dry out as quickly.
Mix/knead/ pinch off in balls. Let stand for 10 minutes. Roll out. Fry in hot oil.
